Bangladesh Perinatal Society (BPS)

Bangladesh Perinatal Society (BPS) is a professional body of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Neonatologist established in 1996 which has long been providing continuous efforts for quality improvement inmaternal and newborn health services with research in Bangladesh.

 

The aim of Bangladesh Perinatal Society (BPS) is to ensure best possible health of mother and her neonate during pregnancy and childbirth and to ensure continuity of care from pregnancy to delivery and neonatal period.

 

Bangladesh Perinatal Society (BPS)have been working with the Government of Bangladesh in the policy making issues of maternal and neonatal health and contributing in the development of Bangladesh Maternal and Neonatal Health Strategy. BPS provided their technical expertise in national scale-up of different programs in Bangladesh which includes Helping Babies Breathe(HBB), Emergency Triage Assessment and Treatment (ETAT), Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI), Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP) etc. BPS also been working with different NGOs and development partners like WHO, UNICEF, USAID, Save the Children, icddr,b alive & thrive etc.

 

Bangladesh Perinatal Society (BPS) has strong commitment for the improvement of maternal and newborn health in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Perinatal Society (BPS) is happy to be a part of dissemination of the National Guidelines on priority maternal andnewborn health interventions.
